Summary:
The Engagement TOSA is responsible for working closely with our Dean of Students in working directly with students around attendance, engagement, and overall support in being successful.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a caseload of students needing support with interventions and reengagement.
- Support student access through executive functioning supports, which includes planning and prioritizing, goal setting and goal persistence, task initiation and task completion.
- Value diversity and equity and creates an atmosphere that is culturally responsive.
- Identify and differentiate for the unique learning needs of each individual student.
- Case manage general education students, who are in the MTSS process, which includes developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans.
- Effectively manage the learning environment of the Academic Intervervention Center.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues, families and community partners to support student achievement.
- Communicate with all stakeholders to inform student progress towards goals.
- Monitors data to inform and revise student plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or Special Services Provider (Counselor) license or have licensure application in process (must upload license or in process documentation to application)
- Minimum of three years experience teaching and/or a minimum of three years of educational leadership experience, e.g., school-based, central office, educational BOCES, etc.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application
Preferred:
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- ESL Certification
- Technological proficiency with Google platforms, Infinite Campus and Infor
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
