Summary:
Under the direction of the Strategic Support Administrator, the Data & Instructional Specialist will serve on the Strategic Support Team, focused on targeted support of schools. This position will work with each of the supported schools by developing, implementing and/or improving the school’s Data-Driven Instruction (DDI) process, including instructional planning and delivery of differentiated instructional strategies. This position also partners with school and district leaders to provide school level coaching and professional development for teachers and administrators in the use of high leverage instructional strategies and assessment tools which have a direct impact on student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching, modeling, and support in the implementation of data driven instruction (DDI) as part of the district strategic support team, including preparation for support of individual school data-meetings.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Plan Support Team to create professional learning opportunities for teachers and lead collaborative data conversations to analyze a variety of educational assessment materials and plan for student learning in assigned schools.
- In collaboration with the Principal, coach and monitor the implementation of data-driven instruction & the use of the BVSD Instructional Model throughout in assigned schools.
- Engage in ongoing district professional learning regarding equity based instructional coaching and the implementation of Data-Driven Instruction.
- Coach and provide feedback to teachers to ensure all students have access to data-driven, standards aligned, culturally & linguistically responsive instruction.
- Model, co-plan and co-teach alongside teachers.
- Support teachers to deliver differentiated universal and targeted instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners (e.g., language supports for emerging bilinguals, accommodations for students with IEPs or 504 Plans, or extensions for Gifted & Talented students).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process (must upload license or in process documentation to application).
- Minimum of three years experience working with student data analysis.
- Minimum of two years Coaching experience at the school or district level.
- Completed 20 hours READ Act Administrator Training, or ability to complete prior to the beginning of the academic year.
- Minimum two years of Coaching experience at the school or district level.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
Preferred:
- Certified in Cognitive Coaching and/or Adaptive schools Training or ability to obtain
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
