Position Title: TOSA - Academic Interventionist, Middle School

Position Start Date: August 6, 2024

FTE: 1.0 - Full Time

Work Schedule: 187210 Annual Work Days - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Salary: Based on experience

Closing Date: June 13, 2024


This person is responsible for coordinating academic services and managing an academic support team. They direct services for students receiving academic interventions within an MTSS model. They support student access to curriculum and instruction. They provide student academic coaching, executive functioning skill development, and literacy support.  

The position is supervised and evaluated by the principal. Children of employees may qualify for enrollment into Summit pending available space.  


  • Coordinating an academic support team.
  • Teaching Literacy Academic Support Classes.  
  • Academic progress monitoring.
  • Student learning support, encouragement, and structure. 
  • Developing positive relationships with students.
  • Communicating with teachers and administrators.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in MTSS services, pedagogy, and educational philosophy
  • A college degree
  • Teaching experience
  • Strong skills in collaboration, coordination, technology, and organization
  • A dedication to supporting students in academic pursuits
  • An understanding and passion for working with middle school students
