    Meadowlark School is Boulder Valley School District’s first school in Erie, Colorado, serving students K through 8th grade with a preschool program. The school is a dynamic learning environment organized into five learning communities: PK-K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th and 7th-8th. Flexible grouping arrangements and project/problem based learning are core instructional strategies in creating challenging, meaningful and engaging learning opportunities for all students. The innovative educational spaces provide purposeful, flexible spaces for collaboration and partnerships for all stakeholders. Personalized learning is the core tenet of our learning community model.     Summary:
    A BVSD teacher demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area while positively impacting student achievement through innovative instructional strategies and effectively managing the learning environment.

    Qualifications:
    Required:

    -Currently hold a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement (Art)
    -CDE licensure application will also be accepted
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application


    Preferred:

    -Strong art background with the ability to engage K-8 learners
    -Secondary Art teaching experiences
    -Willingness to direct an extracurricular art group and grade level artistic programs
    -Experience with second language populations
    -Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to communicate frequently with families regarding school curriculum and student progress
    -Strong sense of efficacy; believes in ability to make a difference in the lives of children and families
    -Flexibility; desire to set aside own views and opinions to seek understanding of others
    -Good sense of humor and positive attitude
    -Willingness to engage in reflective practice and participate in professional development activities demonstrating desire to grow as a learner
    -Dedication to high standards of excellence and the success of all students; ability to personalize instruction for students

    -Able to design and maintain a teacher and art department web page in order to communicate to parents and community as well as display student art work.
    -Appropriate level of academic training in course work including: Drawing, Painting, 3-Dimensional Art

    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
