Summary:
The Culinary Center Food Service Driver supports districtwide meal operations by safely transporting and handling food and supply products to all Food Services sites, ensuring adherence to all Food Services and HACCP procedures. This role represents the Food Services Program, maintaining positive relationships with staff and students while accurately delivering, staging, and rotating inventory. Responsibilities include operating industrial equipment to manage heavy loads, verifying delivery accuracy, assisting with physical inventory, and maintaining clean, organized vehicles and storage areas to uphold program standards.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all Food Services and HACCP procedures by properly handling food and supply products, maintaining accurate transport and temperature logs, and using FIFO practices when checking, delivering, and stocking items at Food Services sites.
- Deliver food and supplies following prescribed routes and procedures, and check with authorized personnel to ensure that delivery tickets are accurate as printed. Assist with periodic physical inventory processes as needed. Move food, rotating, and taking orders to other locations in the Culinary Center.
- Operate truck lifts, hand trucks, industrial stackers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to safely handle heavy loads and accurately pick, stage, and organize deliveries for school sites.
- Demonstrate and communicate the philosophy of the Food Services Program while serving as a positive, professional representative of the department, maintaining respectful and collaborative relationships with staff and students across multiple district sites.
- Maintain the cleanliness of delivery vehicles, Food Services Delivery Totes, and Food Services Storage Areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year experience in: Delivery Driving.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
- Offer contingent upon passing post offer physical.
- Must pass FS Online Training Assessment by completion of probationary period.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and clean driving record that meets BVSD insurability requirements.
- Must obtain ServSafe Certificate; within probationary period
Preferred:
- Minimum of one year experience in: Food Service.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to use handheld devices for inventory control, and pick and delivery processes when it becomes available.
- Ability to read and discern labels and stock descriptions on pick, delivery, and inventory paperwork
- Understand and follow all HACCP SOPs
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to drive refrigerated box truck

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
