Summary:

At the direction of the Human Resources Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention, the Operations Recruitment Specialist creates and maintains a comprehensive system that allows the Boulder Valley School District to attract diverse and competitive pools of candidates for all Operational Service Division vacancies. They are responsible for candidate sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and supporting candidates through the onboarding process.

Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and build partnerships to create pipelines for new employees. 
  • Utilizing local networks, recruitment websites, social media platforms, and attending job fairs to source candidates. 
  • Present to HS students/college students, industry partners, etc. to recruit new members and build candidate pipelines.
  • Schedule and conduct candidate reference checks, interviews, recommend candidates for hire, and forward viable candidates to hiring managers. 
  • Promote employment opportunities for district employees across individual departments and engage staff to help with recruiting efforts.
  • Partner with the departments in Operational Services to understand business requirements to establish and enhance the candidate pipeline.
  • Support candidates through the pre-boarding and onboarding employment tasks.
  • Provide telephone, application, technical, and email support for applicants. 
  • Screen applicant pools based on the qualifications and requirements of the job. 
  • Analyze and compile Operational Services hiring and onboarding data and provide reports on classified recruitment efforts and outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

Required:

  • Minimum of three years of professional recruitment experience; Required
  • Bachelor's degree required or 5+ years of professional work experience in human resources or related field. 
  • Computer literate
  • Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
  • Complete and submitted BVSD on-line application. 
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individual.
  • Ability to work within team structure to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness of projects.

Preferred:

  • Degree in human resources, business management, marketing or similar.
  • Bilingual/Spanish.
  • Marketing experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based MS Office programs and Google.
  • Demonstrated ability in reviewing data for logical consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability in preparing and maintaining records, files and reports.

Salary Information: 

Salary Range 4:$75,859.00 - $113,788

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
