Salary Range 6: $85,675 - $128,514

Summary:

The Software Developer Level I is a key player in the district’s efforts to increase productivity, reliability, and efficiency through the use of technology. Reporting directly to the Manager of Software Development and Architecture, they work closely with IT Solutions Architects and district stakeholders to configure, enhance, and integrate the data systems that support the district’s instructional and business needs.

Responsibilities: 

• Configure and enhance enterprise data applications to the specifications required to meet business and instructional needs.
• Develop, and maintain business process automations using supported tools, languages, and frameworks.
• Develop, and maintain custom web applications using documented architecture and supported tools, languages, and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain batch and transactional data integrations between external and internal data systems including the district’s data warehouse.
• Develop and maintain advanced reports, queries, dashboards that provide district stakeholders timely, secure access to data.
• Provide tier-3 support too complex for the applications specialists.
• Produce documentation and knowledge base articles for solutions produced by the IT Application Development Team.
• Test and debug systems and solutions.
• Pursue professional development opportunities to improve overall skill set and meet review objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent through 5+ years of similar experience
• Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
• Completed and submitted BVSD online application

Preferred:

• Experience with ServiceNow Platform
• Experience with Infor Platform
• Experience with common public education data systems such as student information, learning management, enterprise resource, and communication systems supporting K-12 operations
• ITIL Foundation
• Knowledge of the following technical skills and tools; SQL, C#,  HTML/Javascript,  SSIS, Tableau, Infor Process Automation/Designer, REST web services.
• Knowledge of modern web development stack: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as JQuery, Angular, etc.
• A thirst for problem solving

Salary Information: 

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
