    Salary Range: $69,546 - $104,318

    Responsibilities:
    -Coordinate and interface with site based staff, students, and public to meet and satisfy their needs through efficient communication and positive relationships
    -Negotiate multiple deadlines and resources and budget constraints with clients, managers, consultants and contractors through proactive approaches to meet project objectives
    -Schedule and coordinate project team meetings
    -Negotiate contracts for equipment and professional services using quality, quantity, specification requirements and other predetermined factors
    -Inspect the construction and installation progress to insure compliance with established criteria such as code, specifications and plans
    -Create and review schedules for detailed considerations of all activities needed to be completed within the project
    -Control the design and construction process by measuring progress towards the goal and objectives and take corrective steps to achieve or exceed the same
    -Minimize “scope creep” by identifying a clear project scope and budget and adhering to the approved program
    -Provide leadership to the construction project team and exhibit behavior consistent with District goals by demonstrating the ability to effectively manage conflict and disagreements and develop procedures and techniques for resolution
    -Insure throughout the design, bidding and construction that quality is not compromised at any point within the process
    -Champion adequate avenues for quality assurance at each point necessary within the project for a high performing facility
    -Prepare reports required by management to draw comparisons between work expended and plan, to review project milestones and to provide project projections with customers and management for decision making purposes
    -Monitor budget cost control through established policies, procedures and techniques to measure resources consumed, project status and milestones and compare measurements to projections
    -Review and authorize payments from project accounts
    -Establish and manage project budgets through cost estimating relationships with contracted engineers, historical costs, estimating manuals and contractor bids and proposals
    -Oversee close-out activities, establish and enforce warranty procedures and contacts, insure clients are trained in using building systems
    -Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
    Required:

    -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field
    -Over five years, and up to and including seven years experience in: Building Construction industry, preferable in Pre-K through 12 education buildings, including site planning.
    -Demonstrated experience with successfully projecting, managing and balancing various construction financial projections and reports
    -Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational, interpersonal and conflict management skills
    -Extensive computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software and operating knowledge of scheduling software
    -Ability to effectively manage project budgets, schedules and correspondence
    -Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, building and department procedures
    -Physically able to perform on-site construction inspections including climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application

    Salary Range: $69,546 - $104,318
