Summit Middle Charter School located in South Boulder is a tuition-free, public charter school in Boulder Valley School District serving grades 6,7,8. Summary:

Math Counts Coach, Middle School –2025-2026 school year - $3,500. Weekly practice on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 am. The season includes a chapter competition. The position is supervised and evaluated by the athletic director.

Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and run an adequate number of practices for participating students.
  • Help motivate and encourage students throughout the program year.
  • Select the 1-10 student(s) who will represent the school at the Chapter Competition in February.
  • Take students to the Chapter Competition or make arrangements with parents and volunteers to get them there.

Qualifications: 

The elements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:

  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
  • Experience: Working with middle school aged students.
  • Skills: Communication, organization and motivation skills.
