Summary:
This is an Intern level position that will work in our IT Repair Center working alongside our repair technicians, repairing BVSD owned technology devices. These devices include Chromebooks, Windows & MacIntosh systems, peripherals, etc. The position will also assist with the setting up and enrollment of the above devices so they work on the BVSD network.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and hardware testing of Windows, Apple OS/X, and Chromebook computers and miscellaneous peripheral equipment and systems; determine reason(s) for equipment failure and initiate appropriate action, communicate with Hardware Repair Technicians.
- Utilize our internal IT records to maintain logs, records, files and controls of the maintenance performed on all equipment.
- Assist the Hardware Repair Technicians as a supply contact for field personnel and maintain repair stock levels, interface and assist BVSD Customer Service Technicians on repair issues.
- Follow vendor repair procedures, perform warranty and non-warranty repair and warranty claims submissions with vendors.
- Assist with setting up and the enrollment of all hardware devices so they work on our internal networks.
- Recycle equipment and boxes accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be 16 years of age, or older.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
Preferred:
- Must possess a strong knowledge of hardware repair for a variety of devices that include but are not limited to: Windows desktops, laptops, Mac Desktop, Mac Laptops, mobile devices such as iPads, Chromebooks, peripherals and more.
- The individual should possess the ability to be a self starter, lifelong learner and have a customer focused mindset.
Salary Information:
BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience and education. All salaries are set by Human Resources based on a review of qualifications compared to the requirements on the job description; therefore listing all related education and experience on your application is recommended.
