Summary:
Responsible for Integration of Food Service Software Program, complex data, nutrition, and recipe entry, and crossover of process and systems into new software.
Responsibilities:
- Perform an essential role in the Project Management of software transition, establishing and meeting the project timelines, and the complex data entry associated with the transition.
- Communicate with Food Services Management Team on structural setup and crossover of new software program.
- Enter, update and maintain information from previous software databases, spreadsheets, charts and reports. Maintain filing systems. Gather, compile, synthesize, analyze, verify, write and format reports, forms, submissions and other requested data. Review & copy documents; type drafts and prepare final copies for management staff as needed. Design trainings for staff on use of new software system.
- Perform complex data entry of inventory items, nutrition facts and analysis, multi-step recipes, menu planning information, and the interplay between the different databases in the system.
- Act as liaison with IT Department throughout the process, informing + requesting Application Programming Interfaces, data integration, and additional functional technology help as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years experience in general office occupations or equivalent education and computer experience.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
Preferred:
- Nutrition or Nutrition Science background.
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace.
- Follow safety rules, practice safe work habits.
- Utilize appropriate safety equipment, including ergonomically correct workstation.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
- Ability to interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
