Summary:
In partnership with the Impact on Education Career Readiness Academy Coordinator, the BVSD Career Readiness Academy Instructor(CRAI) supports student career exploration and professional skills development and is essential in fostering career readiness and enhancing student educational experiences. During the ten-week workshop, the instructor will meet with students twice a month after school and be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate learning experiences using the Career Readiness Academy curriculum.
- Provide support to meet student's individual needs and interests.
- Create and foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Review the curriculum and prepare for each workshop session.
- Support building student and staff relationships at the school.
- Collaborate with the Impact on Education Program Coordinator and program volunteer.
- Facilitate networking opportunities for students and community and business partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Current BVSD employee
- Complete and submitted BVSD online application
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
Preferred:
- Advanced communication skills
- High school teaching experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
