Position Title: Biliteracy Instructional Coach
Position Start Date: Immediately
Position Type: Teachers-Licensed
FTE: 1.0 - 40 hours per week - Limited Term through 05/23/2025
Work Schedule: 186 Days

Summary:
The Biliteracy Instructional Coach will facilitate data discussions and Data Driven Instruction (DDI). The coach will work closely with principals and the instructional leadership team to provide school level coaching and professional development for teachers and administrators in the use of high leverage instructional strategies and assessment tools which have a direct impact on student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of data driven instruction as part of the school improvement work.
- Support the work of educators to improve their effectiveness at closing the achievement gap and improving outcomes for students across the district.
- Support teachers in managing READ Plans and implementing research-based intervention strategies.
- Encourage, coach, and monitor data driven instruction in collaboration with the Principal.
- Support the network teams to connect with schools.
- Identify best practices to increase data driven instruction for teachers.
- Meet and plan with teachers to promote data driven instruction.
- Attend and/or plan professional development activities.
- Work with district supervisors and school improvement teams to assist in accomplishing goals, objectives, and activities indicated on Unified Improvement Plan (UIP).
- Work with content area and classroom teachers to research and develop related standards based classroom assessments and communicate information aligned to the strategic plan.
- Builds internal capacity of school personnel and school leadership teams to become effective users of data.
- Assist school with analyzing summative school data and plan for improvement using strengths and opportunities.
- Assist teachers and administrators with using formative assessment data in classroom instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement in a Elementary or Secondary Education (must upload license or in process documentation to application)
- Minimum of three years experience working with student data analysis
- Communicate (read, write and speak) in English
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application
- Bilingual English/Spanish (must pass BVSD assessment)
Preferred:
- Understanding of practices and protocols used to support Data Driven Instruction (DDI)
- Knowledge of and deep belief in inclusion in the general education classroom for all students, including those on an IEP and/or learning English
Salary Information:
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
