    Summary:
    The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will provide specialized expertise to define and characterize behaviors, measure and assess behaviors, select and evaluate interventions and strategies, display and interpret behavioral data and monitor behavior changed.

    Responsibilities:
    The Behavior Analyst is responsible for the implementation of skill acquisition and behavior support strategies aligned with current best practices from the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as well as responsibilities and duties within the collaborative team, including, but not limited to:
    -Leadership role in the team development of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) including completion of Functional Behavioral Assessments and/or analyses as needed and appropriate
    -Leadership role in the implementation of BSPs with fidelity
    -Support a classroom environment that fosters imbedded communication and social skills
    -Implement individual and classroom-wide strategies, interventions, etc. to increase adaptive behaviors and the development of functionally equivalent alternative responses
    -Collect, monitor, graph and analyze student data
    -Schedule time in classrooms for direct work with students
    -Regular meetings with the collaborative classroom team
    -Support parent training, as a part of a team, to facilitate the use of appropriate supportive strategies within home and community settings
    -Confer with parents on an ongoing basis and as part of the collaborative team
    -Attendance at special education, BCBA specific and instructional meetings as required
    -Writes assessment reports based on initial assessment including behavior support recommendations, programming strategies and tracking forms
    -Collaborates with school teams and families in the development of behavior support strategies
    -Develops data collection forms
    -Trains staff in implementation of Behavior Support Plans and recommended strategies, monitor implementation
    -Conducts staff training on topics in Applied Behavior Analysis
    -Monitors and provides support for staff in use of ABA strategies and procedures
    -Participates in regularly scheduled Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings at schools and initial student interviews/assessment
    -Conducts regularly scheduled visits to assess and monitor progress and provide ongoing support at assigned schools
    -Reviews skill acquisition and behavior data on an agreed upon schedule (minimally monthly)
    -Modifies Behavior Support Plans and skill programs as needed
    -Coordinates/collaborates with the special education director and central office personnel regularly
    -Assists with development of materials for behavior support and skill training
    -Supports school teams at IEP meetings as needed to review progress, data, and develop IEP goals
    -Attends Behavior Support Committee and Department meetings as needed
    -Complies with all rules and regulations set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.
    -Administer and interpret vb-Mapp
    -Positively impacts student achievement through innovative instructional strategies
    -Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the curriculum and content area
    -Effectively manages the learning environment
    -Values student diversity and support the unique learning needs of each individual student
    -Exhibits a growth mindset through participation in high quality professional learning
    -Works collaboratively with colleagues, families and community
    -Builds positive relationships and communicate effectively with families
    -Uses inclusive and differentiated instructional practices to support all students
    -Uses data-driven evidence to inform instruction
    -Demonstrates a level of technology proficiency that enhances student learning
    -Contributes to a positive, child centered school culture
    -Follows State legal requirements and District and building policies and procedures

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Currently hold a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate (or in process)
    -Currently hold a CDE authorization as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a CDE application (BCBA) in progress.
    -Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application

    Preferred:
    -Experience working with children and/or adults with autism and/or developmental disabilities

    Salary Information:
    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
