Delivery work involving the distribution of supplies and equipment to and from the central warehouse; work involving varied duties related to storage and distribution required in the unit; performing work according to established policies and procedures
Responsibilities: Operate fork-lifts as well as various types of trucks and vans; responsible for loading and distribution of supplies and equipment on weekly supply and food routes following prescribed routes and procedures; securing proper signatures on delivery of supplies and equipment at destination; assist in work order moves of furniture, equipment and books between schools and the Education Center; responsible for stocking inventory in warehouse as well as maintaining and processing inventory of a specified area of warehouse; fill inventory stock order requisitions and ensure proper packaging for delivery. Position requires bending, stooping, reaching; ability to climb stairs carrying supplies and equipment; ability to stand for 8 hours per day; constant lifting of up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifts of up to 100 lbs; constant movement of heavy loads.
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Possess a Class A or B Colorado Commercial Driver's License
-Submit a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and must be insurable and maintain insurability per Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) standards (MVR Insurability Standards)
-At least 21 years of age
-Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional lifts of up to 100 pounds; frequent movement of heavy loads
-Constant reaching, bending, stooping, ability to climb ladders, be on feet 8 hrs/day
-Communicate (read, write and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process
-Completed and submitted BVSD online application
-Two years of warehouse and delivery experience
-Ability to safely operate fork-lift and varied types of trucks and vans
-Abilityto act responsibly in handling deliveries of supplies, paychecks, etc
-Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
-Employment is contingent upon Forklift certification (must be obtained during the probationary period)
-Driving record which meets district insurability requirements
-Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
