    SUMMARY:
    The Translation Project Manager will execute all translation projects from start to finish and serve as the contact person for district-based clients. They will be responsible for the life cycle of all translation projects, including receiving from clients, assigning to translators and proofreaders, and delivering after completion of quality control. They will manage day-to-day relationships with clients and contractors and aid in overseeing the district’s various linguistic resources, such as glossaries, translation memories and document repositories.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    -Oversee translation project receipt, assignment, quality control and packaging/delivery of final product.
    -Manage day-to-day relationships with clients, observing individual project instructions and advising clients as to best practices when submitting requests.
    -Maintain the district’s translation memories, glossaries and document repositories.
    -Evaluate potential written translation contractors to determine eligibility to accept assignments from the Boulder Valley School District.

    -Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Required:

    -High school diploma plus specialized advanced courses in business, technical or vocational school up to two years of college.
    -Minimum of three years experience in translation project management, educational settings is preferred
    -Bilingual ability (Spanish/English)
    -Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process


    Preferred:
    -Prior experience as a Spanish translator in educational settings.
    -Familiarity with translation tools and software, prior experience with SDL Trados

    Salary Information:

    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
