Position Title:  TOSA-Montessori Coach

Position Start Date: August 15, 2022

Position Type: Teachers-Licensed

FTE: 0.6 - 24 hours per week - Temporary (8/15/22 - 5/26/23)

Work Schedule: 186 Days - 12 Months 

Closing Date: August 5, 2022


A BVSD Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will provide leadership and professional development for teachers and administrators in the use of high leverage instructional strategies and assessment tools which have a direct impact on student growth and achievement.


  • This person must be Montessori trained and understand public Montessori
  • Attending BVSD training on Data-Driven Instruction
  • Analyzing data with administration and teachers to address achievement gap and equity
  • Guiding data exploration collaboration meetings to improve instructional practices
  • Tracking results of data-driven instruction
  • Observing and providing non-evaluative instructional feedback to Montessori teachers
  • Collaborating with teachers to develop intervention plans that are appropriate and effective in a Montessori environment that align with BVSD Standards
  • Create a bridge between the BVSD Scope and Sequence and the Montessori multi-age instruction
  • Help teachers develop Montessori assessments
  • Supporting teachers in how to best use paras for instructional support

  • Bachelor's degree with a major pertinent to the position requirements.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with student data analysis.
  • Communicate (read, write and speak) in English. 
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application. 
  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc) and other applications appropriate to the job.


  • Understanding of practices and protocols used to support Data Driven Instruction (DDI)
