School: Special Education - Halcyon

Position Title: Teacher-Homebound

Position Start Date: August 10, 2022

Position Type: Non-Represented

Work Schedule: As Needed

Closing Date: August 7, 2022


Homebound Teacher is a part of a team of teachers who are willing to provide instruction to students who are unable to access educational services in their school of attendance. Need for teachers is dependent upon student referrals. May accept as few as one case at at time or a full forty hour workload.


  • Provide instruction in the family home or agreed upon alternate location. 
  • Required to work with at least one student during the school year to be eligible for ongoing referrals.



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have a valid Colorado Teaching License
  • Minimum of one year experience
  • Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
  • Completed and submitted BVSD online application  


  • Knowledge of and deep belief in inclusion in the general education classroom for all students, including those on an IEP and/or learning English
  • Proficient in PC Operations, skilled in Google (Gmail, Calendar, and Drive) and Microsoft Office  

Salary Information:

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
