    Summary:
    School Psychologists or School Social Workers provide integral support to student achievement, emotional/behavioral development, and establish a collaborative culture in buildings. School Psychologists and School Social Workers provide essential services to students, staff, groups and families within the school, as well as support district-wide initiatives. Psychologists and Social Workers play an integral role in the Rtl process by conducting assessments, progress monitoring, identifying and implementing interventions, functional behavior analysis and assisting with the implementation of behavior support plans.Psychologists train and assist staff in the implementation of policies and procedures dealing with abuse and are members of building crisis management/trauma response teams. As integral members of staffing teams, they address student functioning in the home, school and community, and contribute to program placement recommendations.

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Colorado license with appropriate endorsement as Special Services Provider – School Psychologist or School Social Worker
    -CDE licensure application will also be accepted
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application

    Preferred:
    -Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency
    -Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate
    -Appropriate training, academic, technological and experiential background for the position
    -Flexibility and positive member of a multidisciplinary team
    -Competency with a variety of formal and informal assessments
    -Work well with time pressures and other stressors
    -Understanding of policies and procedures in special education
    -Crisis intervention skills
    -Knowledge of functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans


    Salary Information:
    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
