    Summary:
    The IT Systems Analyst is ultimately responsible for the enterprise tools and systems within their scope of responsibility. They are responsible for analyzing and understanding the ongoing needs of the business and ensuring that their systems are set up and configured to meet those needs in a reliable, responsive fashion. They work closely with both their business partners and support teams to ensure that both parties have access to the training and documents they need to be successful in their respective roles. They act as both a business analyst and customer liaison when the business requires an enhancement to an existing, or implementation of a new process or procedure.

    Responsibilities:
    -Responsible for the business relationship for the area of coverage (Education or Operational). This includes understanding of the business needs and how those needs can be solved with existing or new software.
    -Partner with district stakeholders to understand, analyze, architect, document, and implement technology solutions for business needs.
    -Partner with the Manager of Software Development & Architecture to develop and procure technical solutions through district or external resources.
    -Own the health, availability, feature set of software systems within area of responsibility. This includes but is not limited to managing system configurations, testing, product upgrades/patches, and system enhancement requests. Partner with the Service Desk and Tier 2 support on problem resolution.
    -Participate in the review and selection of new software applications being proposed for use within the District. Maintain application and data catalogs related to software within area of responsibility.
    -Provide/facilitate tier-3 support for break/fix issues related to areas of responsibility; Assist with tier-2 support for break/fix issues.
    -Provide or arrange for user training as needed.
    -Develop with leadership, district stakeholders, and vendors application road maps.
    -Identify problems with applications within scope of responsibility and manage their resolution with necessary level of urgency. Keep leadership aware of identified problems and the timelines to their resolution.
    -Adhere to the change management process for software releases and upgrades.
    -Pursue professional development opportunities to improve overall skill set and meet review objectives.
    -Special projects as required.
    -Perform other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Required:

    -Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent through a minimum of ten years experience.
    -Minimum of five years experience providing high levels of customer service
    -Minimum of five years experience administering enterprise-level applications and data systems
    -Minimum of five years experience working with stakeholders to analyze, improve, and document business processes and technology requirements/architectures.
    -Minimum of five years experience working with vendors to manage and maintain enterprise-level applications and data systems.
    -Possess ITIL Certification or must acquire within 12 months of hire.
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.


    Preferred:
    -Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other technology related field
    -In-depth knowledge of process, system, data modeling techniques and tools in an Agile environment.
    -Experience writing detailed technical specifications and statements of work.
    -Ability to turn complex concepts into simple language.
    -Keep relevant systems up to date and patched.
    -Manage relevant system permissions and security.
    -Experience acting as a subject matter expert regarding the technical functioning and interdependencies of relevant systems.
    -Experience working with business partners to understand, prioritize, and implement user enhancement requests for relevant systems.
    -Experience working with development teams to prioritize, scope, implement, and test technical projects and system enhancements.
    -Experience providing documentation and training to business partners.
    -Excellent research and analytic skills.
    -Excellent attention to detail.
    -Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    -Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
    -The desire to make continuous improvement to existing practices and methodologies.

    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
