    This Director level position reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for Information Technology (IT) vendor management, the IT budget, E-Rate submissions, and government compliance. Government compliance includes managing the data privacy addendums and contracts related to the Colorado Student Data Transparency and Security Act.

    -Manage contract renewals, extensions, replacements, and terminations to meet fiscal requirements, budgetary timing, contractual demands, and operational needs
    -Lead the development, writing, and publishing of all IT-related Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Invitations to Bid (ITB)
    -Onboard vendors: ensure seamless transition from Board of Education (BoE) approval to project/contract commencement
    -Serve as an escalation point for business partners and IT for vendor-related issues, concerns, disagreements
    -Ensure all SLAs and contract Terms and Conditions are being met. Investigate and correct shortcomings
    -Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, primarily as regards annual renewals/commitments across all departments in IT
    -Manage all of IT’s budget (>$8M) for renewals, repairs, and maintenance. Receive, approve and process invoices. Manage and track spending throughout the year.
    -In collaboration with BVSD Legal and Purchasing offices, ensure all applicable vendors sign and comply with the district's Data Privacy Addendum. Recommend to the CIO any appropriate modifications/compromises to the standard language
    -Ensure all vendors are aware of and in compliance with applicable state law, specifically State of Colorado House Bill 16-1423-Colorado Student Data Transparency and Security Act
    -Working with the IT Office Manager/Budget Analyst, ensure BVSD maximizes utilization of and reimbursement opportunities from the E-Rate program. Potential reimbursements exceed $2M/Year
    -Perform other duties as assigned.


    -Bachelor's Degree
    -Minimum of five years experience in Vendor Management, Accounting/Finance, and/or Technology
    -Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, including creating and delivering presentations
    -Advanced skills in critical software applications in Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps
    -Ability to manage a multi-million dollar budget, making recommendations to the CIO for cost savings and leveraged opportunities
    -Problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
    -Interact with a variety of vendors, speaking with people of all ages and backgrounds
    -Ability to determine the best vendor prices and products available
    -Ability to interpret contractual language and work with attorneys
    -Ability to discuss new contracts and rewrite existing contracts with vendors
    -Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities and stakeholder issues and drive towards pragmatic decisions/actions
    -Valid Driver's License
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application.

    -Masters in Business Administration
    -E-Rate experience
    -Experience in risk management
    -ITIL Certification
    -Change Management experience
    -Project Management experience

    Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the post-offer screening process, including a background check.

    SALARY: Range 11: $ 91,169 - $ 136,753 (2019-20 salary schedule – based on experience); excellent benefit package. Website: BVSD Benefits.
