    Summary:
    The Community Use Coordinator will oversee and handle the daily operations of the Community Use program under BVSD Community Schools. The Coordinator will work with the community members, businesses, nonprofits, and government entities in and outside of Boulder Valley School District that are interested in using space on any of BVSD’s portfolio of properties. The Coordinator supports all 56 schools in the scheduling of space in their buildings and on their campuses and communicate regularly with principals, office staff, and Athletics/Activities Directors at schools and communicates/plans with central office staff, including in business services, operations, IT, legal, communications, safety/security, and instruction to ensure community use events are safe, aligned to Board policy and regulation, and organized.

    Responsibilities:
    -Oversee the daily operations of the Community Use program. This includes ensuring all permits are accurately processed, billing and payment is timely, use is safe and has the required supports in place, including staffing of building monitors and security access and permissions, and providing exemplary customer service to users and staff.
    -Build relationships with community members, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies in and outside of BVSD. Communicate effectively to users to ensure adequate understanding of and compliance with Community Use Board policy and regulation.
    -Support all the school personnel and district staff that oversee all schools, campuses, and properties in BVSD’s portfolio.
    -Create permits for use of facilities in scheduling software.
    -Hires, supervises and coordinates the BVSD Building Monitors to work events as needed.
    -Maintains and oversees access to buildings. This would include the process for FOB badges for exterior access and interior keys for interior access.
    -Understand and interpret the intergovernmental agreements (IGA) and memorandum of understanding (MOU) that impact the use of District facilities and campuses in accordance with Board policies and regulations.
    -Provide exemplary customer service to users and high-quality teamwork and timely communication to District staff at all levels as needed to resolve issues as they arise before, during, and after events.
    -Provide oversight and compliance with applicable Board policies and regulations that pertain to the use of BVSD buildings and campuses.
    -Support the transition to new software for community use that aligns with District needs and strategic plans.
    -Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Management, Education/Administration, or related field.
    -Minimum of three years experience as a project or program coordinator; school district experience is preferred.
    -Minimum of two years previous supervisory experience; school district experience is preferred.
    -Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
    -Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license

    Preferred:
    -Experience in positions that require excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
    -Experience in positions that require excellent relationship building skills.
    -Experience in positions that require excellent organizational skills.

    Salary Information:
