.906 FTE (36.25 hours/week) - Regular, Ongoing
Hours: 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.91

The Color Me Smart (CMS) PreSAC Assistant Supervisor provides direct supervision of children including assisting in implementation of a developmentally appropriate, play based child care program while following Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Center Rules and Regulations. They also provide supervision during lunch and recess.
-Assist in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, play based program
-Ensure the safety of children
-Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Human Services, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures.
-Participate in trainings, workshops, in-services, professional learning community meetings for ongoing learning
-Maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior and professionalism
-Maintain positive working relationships with school personnel
-Utilize computer and software applications for at least taking attendance, required trainings, and timesheets.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Must meet or exceed the education and experience requirements for Early Childhood Teacher as established by the Colorado Department of Human Services (Rule 7.702.44A as of 1/17/19) Review the Early Childhood Teacher qualifications to determine how you qualify for this position as there are several ways to qualify. The documentation needs to be available in the online application, not just on a resume, to be considered for interviews.
-Minimum of one year experience in: Early Childhood/K-2
-General knowledge in Early Childhood Education and best practices including children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development as well as children with special needs
-Knowledge and skills in classroom management tools, including supporting children with special needs
-Ability to communicate orally and written, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds
-General knowledge of the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing rules and regulations and county health department guidelines
-Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
-Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist children in toileting along with other delegated health care duties
-Technology and computer proficiency in multiple software applications–(Google)
-Minimum of one year experience in an Early Childhood setting
-Minimum of six months experience in a licensed child care program
-Current CPR/First Aid Certification
-Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
