    BVSD Online Summer - Advanced Math Online Teacher
    Location: On site at Arapahoe Campus, 6600 Arapahoe Rd, Boulder, CO 80303 and any Location (for work completed via Internet)
    Temporary Dates: 05/30/18 – 08/01/18
    Pay: $125 per Student Enrolled (teachers will have a maximum of 20 students each)

    SUMMER - BVSD Online offers middle and high school advanced math online courses. Some students take the full 8 weeks during the summer session to complete one semester of a course while others work on a ‘fast track’ pace to complete both semesters within the 8 week summer session. Instructional support is delivered using an online system with the addition of face-to-face sessions. Each teacher will work online daily and be scheduled to support students face-to-face in our lab every other week for 2 hours. Our lab is located inside Arapahoe Campus open Monday through Thursday 10am -2pm. Teachers will be compensated 37.05 hourly for required lab hours. Hiring will be based on qualifications and successful completion of training. This program will use the Schoology system. All teachers will meet on May 30th for a half day training and professional development session. Teachers will host a launch session in the first week.     RESPONSIBILITIES:
    -Complete training and PD on May 30th
    -Complete launch session with every student within 48 hours of start date
    -Positively impact student achievement, using appropriate online instructional strategies and strong knowledge of the content
    -Effectively manage the virtual and physical learning environment
    -Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet students’ learning needs
    -Provide progress updates to students and parents on a 24 hours turnaround and recurring bases
    -Work collaboratively with colleagues and community
    -Follow State legal requirements and District policies and procedures
    -Competence with Infinite Campus – entering grades, posting remarks, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    -Hold a current Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements
    -Complete and submit the online application for employment with Boulder Valley School District
    -Experience teaching online or completed the “Teaching in the Digital Age” course
    -Experience teaching online using GradPoint and/or Schoology

    PREFERRED:
    -Evidence of data-driven instruction to close achievement gaps
    -Use of Schoology or other Learning Management System
    -Use of a variety of technology to facilitate learning – creating and viewing video, audio, multiple presentation apps, RSS feeds, QR codes, etc.
    -Excellent oral and written communication skills
    -Demonstrated experience in inclusion in the general education classroom for all students, including those on an IEP and/or learning English
    -CPR Certified
