    The BVSDCC Warehouse Assistant works closely under the direction of the Food Services District Manager, and under the supervision of the BVSDCC Inventory Control Coordinator, to receive, rotate, track and process food services department purchased product and materials, including dry, frozen, and refrigerated food; chemical and paper supplies; and food services smallwares and equipment. The warehouse assistant will also help deliver product to schools as needed.

    -Understands and is able to communicate the goals and philosophy of the BVSD Food Services Program.
    -Receives, organizes, rotates, issues and properly stores food, beverages, paper, chemicals and supplies in the Culinary Center according to the BVSD Food Service Department Standard Operating Procedures.
    -Accurately counts a periodic physical inventory at Central Warehouse, including the use of handheld scanners and computer software.
    -Assists with the packout process as needed, and the proper and accurate storage of food items going out to sites with Food Service Drivers.
    -Records and maintains required temperature logs for equipment, food production and food transport, as outlined in the BVSD Food Service Standard Operating Procedures and HACCP Protocols, and in compliance with all State and Federal Guidelines.
    -Ensures accurate labelling systems and processes are consistently in place for necessary inventory rotation.
    -Delivers food products, supplies and equipment to sites, as needed.
    -Fosters district commitment to excellence and equity by ensuring that employees and students are valued, respected and provided a positive work/learning environment.
    -Perform other duties as assigned.


    -High School diploma or equivalent
    -Minimum of one year experience in relevant warehouse and/or food service environment
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application
    -Must pass FS Online Training Assessment by completion of probationary period
    -Must obtain ServSafe Certificate; must acquire within probationary period
    -Offer contingent upon passing post offer physical
    -Valid Colorado driver’s license and clean driving record that meets BVSD insurability requirements; required at entry
    -Forklift Operator Certification; must acquire within 3 months
    -Must be able to perform tasks on computers and peripherals
    -Ability to operate hand truck
    -Ability to operate pallet jack; must acquire within 1 month
    -Ability to operate electronic lift gates
    -Ability to operate reach truck; must acquire within 1 month
    -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis

    Salary Information:
    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
