Professional/Technical - Salary Range: 3 ($60,788 - $ 91,182)
This position is on a remote hybrid schedule based on current circumstances but will transition to being full time on-site.

Under the supervision of the Budget Director, the Budget Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact for various school/department budgets.
-Monitor and analyze financial activity (accounting and budget) for assigned funds or programs providing feedback and proposing solutions.
-Assist developing balanced budgets as part of the Adopted and Revised Budgets, to be approved by the Board of Education.
-Ensure the accuracy of financial data and consistency with approved budgets.
-Monitor budgets to actual activity throughout the year and estimate year end balances.
-Generate necessary reports to the Colorado Department of Education, granting agencies, and others.
-Forecasting, monitoring, and reconciling district resources related to staffing allocations and expenditures from various funding sources.
-Providing financial data, support, and analysis to district departments and senior staff which can be easily understood.
-Seeking and developing efficiencies within existing processes.
-Providing detailed accounting support, budget analysis, and financial reporting for schools, departments, oversight committees, and district leadership.
-Functioning independently and prioritizing tasks to meet goals within required deadlines.
-Coordinating on-going and special projects.
-Operating in a team environment.
-Leveraging technology and existing systems to gain operational efficiencies.
-Bachelor's degree, plus three years of finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
-Ability to work with a modern ERP system
-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
-Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English (must pass English component of interview process)
-Ability to work within team structure to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness of projects
-The ability to manage projects and keep them within approved timelines
-Complete and submit BVSD online application
-CPA, SFO, MBA, or MPA
-Governmental accounting experience
-Experience working in non-profit environment
-Advanced personal computer and software skills along with extensive knowledge in accounting, budget development, and financial analysis
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Experience managing state or federal grants to ensure compliance with grant awards
-Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
