    Centennial Middle School is a place where “everyone belongs.” Centennial provides an academic program for students that focuses on excellence within a caring and nurturing environment. Centennial is a neighborhood school with a veteran teaching staff, an accomplished instructional program that teaches to BVSD Content Standards, and has a broad exploratory elective program. Centennial offers students a high degree of personalized attention in a motivating setting supported by our weekly “R2ISE” time. Our staff believes in a school that offers student centered, relevant and engaging curriculum, with high expectations grounded in making meaningful connections with kids. We provide talented and gifted, at-risk, special education and emerging bilingual services.     RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide collaborative leadership in the following areas:
    -Continuous school improvement aligned with the District Strategic Plan and State Accreditation
    -Purposeful and inclusive curriculum and instructional strategies that are school-wide and focused both academic achievement and growth for all levels of learners.
    -Ongoing assessment of school progress and student growth
    -Job-embedded and discipline-based professional development
    -Commitment to shared decision making in a spirit of collaboration
    -School climate development that fosters a just and equitable environment
    -Supervise, and evaluate staff members
    -Provide a safe and secure educational environment
    -Support a restorative justice based discipline system that works to support changes in behavior

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Required:

    -Possess (or application submitted to Colorado Department of Education) a Colorado Principal License at time of hire
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application

    Preferred:
    -Understanding of English Language Learners and appropriate programming for students and their families
    -Experience in teaching, supervision and educational leadership
    -Experience with data-driven school improvement processes that result in high academic achievement and growth for all and elimination of achievement gaps
    -Knowledge of student assessment and data analysis for continuous improvement
    -Current knowledge of effective instructional practices that are student centered
    -Strong planning, organization, motivation, management, supervision and evaluation skills
    -Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external audiences
    -Demonstrated skills in facilitation, problem solving, and conflict management

    Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the post-offer screening process, including a background check.

    SALARY: Range 10: $82,742- $124,114 (2018-19 salary schedule – based on experience); excellent benefit package. Website: BVSD Benefits.

    EFFECTIVE DATE: Beginning of 2019-20 school year (estimated to be July 22, 2019)
